In June of 2006 we drove to Canada (and lots of other places in between!).  Here we are at Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada.  It was an impossibly beautiful place, but it was all to apparent that the glaciers are retreating at an alarming rate.  There were numerous markers showing where the glaciers had been at different points historically.  All arguments about cause aside... these glaciers are going fast.
